South Korea
asiayin-yangtrigrams
South Korea's flag, the Taegukgi, features a white background with a red and blue yin-yang symbol (taegeuk) in the center, surrounded by four black trigrams in each corner. White represents peace and purity, the taegeuk symbolizes the cosmic balance of opposing forces, and the trigrams represent heaven, earth, water, and fire.
The four trigrams on South Korea's flag are taken from the ancient Chinese I Ching and represent the four classical elements and the four seasons, each with its own philosophical meaning.
