Tango (T)

The Tango flag has three vertical stripes of red, white, and blue. It means 'Keep clear of me; I am engaged in pair trawling.' Pair trawling involves two vessels dragging a large net between them, creating an underwater hazard that can span hundreds of meters and is invisible from the surface.
Pair trawling nets can stretch up to 200 meters wide between two boats. Sailing between a pair of trawlers is extremely dangerous, as the net and tow cables are invisible beneath the surface and can entangle a vessel's propeller or even capsize a small boat.
