Amapá

statescirclestarblue

The flag of Amapá features a deep blue field with a large green circle at the center, inside which sits a white five-pointed star. A yellow vertical stripe runs along the hoist side. The blue represents the sky and the Amazon River, green symbolizes the lush forests, the yellow stripe represents mineral wealth, and the white star represents the state's place in the Brazilian federation. The design is simple and bold compared to many Brazilian state flags.

Amapá is one of the most preserved states in Brazil, with over 70% of its territory covered by protected areas and indigenous reserves.
