Known as the Fleurdelisé, this striking flag features a white cross on a blue background with a white fleur-de-lis in each of the four blue quadrants. The blue and white colours and the fleur-de-lis symbolize Quebec's French heritage, echoing the old royal flags of France.

Quebec's Fleurdelisé was first raised on January 21, 1948, over the Parliament Building in Quebec City. The date is now celebrated annually as Flag Day in Quebec. It was adopted even before Canada had its own national flag.
