The Danish flag, known as the Dannebrog, features a white Scandinavian cross on a red background. According to legend, the flag fell from the sky during the Battle of Lyndanisse in 1219. It is widely considered the oldest continuously used national flag in the world and served as the model for all other Scandinavian cross flags.
The Dannebrog is recognized by Guinness World Records as the oldest continuously used national flag, dating back over 800 years.
