Frederiksberg's coat of arms features a wall and trees representing the city's parks, a crown symbolising King Frederik, and three falcons commemorating the only falcon training centre in Denmark, once housed in Frederiksberg's parkland. Granted by Royal decree in 1899.
Frederiksberg is a completely independent municipality entirely surrounded by Copenhagen, forming a unique enclave within the capital city.
