Georgia's flag, known as the Five Cross Flag, features a large red St. George's cross on a white background with four smaller red crosses (Bolnisi crosses) in each quadrant. The design dates back to medieval times and represents the Christian heritage of the nation.
The Five Cross Flag was associated with the medieval Kingdom of Georgia and was championed by the Rose Revolution movement before being officially adopted in 2004.
