Organisation internationale de la Francophonie
regionalwhitemulticolourcircle
The Francophonie flag features a white background with a colourful circular emblem made of five arc segments in different colours: violet, blue, green, red, and orange. The arcs form a stylised ring representing the five continents where French is spoken. The abstract design evokes global diversity united by the French language.
French is spoken on every inhabited continent, and the Francophonie includes 88 member states and governments, making it one of the largest linguistic communities in the world.
Adopted: 2005
