Tuva

republicsblueyellowwhite

The flag of Tuva features a light blue field with a yellow triangle emanating from the hoist side, flanked by white edges. The triangle represents the confluence of the Biy-Khem and Kaa-Khem rivers that form the Yenisei, Siberia's greatest river, which begins in Tuva. Light blue symbolizes courage, strength, and the eternal sky of the Tuvan steppe, yellow represents wealth and Buddhism, and white represents purity. Tuva was an independent nation (Tannu Tuva) from 1921 to 1944, one of the most isolated countries in the world, before joining the Soviet Union.

Tuva is world-famous for throat singing (khoomei), where a single vocalist produces multiple simultaneous pitches, a technique that has influenced musicians globally.
