Sint Maarten
territoriesredbluewhite
Sint Maarten's flag features a white triangle at the hoist bearing the territorial coat of arms, with red on top and blue below. The red represents courage and unity, the blue represents the sea and sky, and the white triangle represents peace. The coat of arms shows a courthouse, the border monument, and a bouquet of sage.
Sint Maarten occupies the southern 40% of the island of Saint Martin β the smallest landmass in the world shared by two sovereign states (the Netherlands and France). The island's airport is famous for planes flying just metres above sunbathers on Maho Beach.
