A unique swallowtail (burgee) pennant shape with five horizontal stripes of red and white, a blue triangle on the hoist side containing a white circle with a red center (the buckeye) and 17 white stars.
Ohio is the only US state with a non-rectangular flag, using a unique swallowtail burgee design created by architect John Eisenmann.
