Nunavut

canadacanadaterritoryinuksuk

The flag features a gold and white background divided vertically, with a red inuksuk (a traditional Inuit stone landmark) in the center and a blue five-pointed star in the upper right corner representing the Niqirtsuituq (the North Star). The gold represents the riches of the land, the white symbolizes the Arctic snow and ice, and the inuksuk represents the stone monuments that guide people across the tundra.

Nunavut's flag features an inuksuk, one of the most recognizable symbols of Inuit culture. The territory itself was only created in 1999, making its flag one of the newest in Canada. The blue star represents the North Star, which has guided Inuit travelers for millennia.
