asiastar-of-davidstripes

Israel's flag features a blue Star of David (Magen David) between two horizontal blue stripes on a white background. The design is inspired by the Jewish prayer shawl (tallit). The blue and white colors have long been associated with the Jewish people, and the hexagram has been a symbol of Jewish identity for centuries.

Israel's flag was designed for the Zionist movement in 1891, over 50 years before the state of Israel was established, making it one of the few national flags designed long before the country existed.
