Aichi

prefectureshiraganaredwhite

The flag of Aichi features a white mon emblem on a crimson-red field. The emblem is a bold circular design incorporating the hiragana あ (a) and い (i), the first two syllables of Aichi, merged into a single harmonious form with a rising sun motif. The vivid red background conveys the industrial energy and ambitious spirit of Japan's manufacturing heartland, centred around its capital, one of the country's largest cities.

Aichi is home to Toyota Motor Corporation and produces more automobiles than any other prefecture, earning it the nickname 'Japan's Detroit'.
