International Paralympic Committee

sportswhiteredblue

The Paralympic flag features a white background with three agitos (meaning 'I move' in Latin) in red, blue, and green, forming a crescent shape around a central point. The three agitos represent motion and the athlete's drive to achieve excellence. The design echoes the Olympic rings while establishing a distinct identity.

The three agitos replaced the original Paralympic symbol of three tae-geuk shapes. The word agito comes from the Latin 'agere' meaning 'to move', chosen to represent the spirit of Paralympic athletes.
