Bashkortostan
republicstricolorbluewhite
The flag of Bashkortostan is a horizontal tricolor of blue, white, and green, with the national emblem centered on the white stripe β a golden circle containing a stylized image of the Kinekulya, a Bashkir monument. At the center of the white stripe sits a golden disk depicting a rider on horseback β the monument to Salavat Yulaev, an 18th-century Bashkir national hero. Blue symbolizes integrity and virtue, white represents peace and openness, and green stands for freedom and the eternal life of the Bashkir people.
Bashkortostan is famous for its wild-hive beekeeping tradition, a UNESCO-recognized practice where honey is harvested from colonies in hollowed tree trunks.
