Two-Spirit Pride
identityfeathersrainbowcircle
This flag represents Two-Spirit Indigenous people β a sacred, spiritual, and ceremonial role recognised by Indigenous North American communities. It features two white feathers and a circle over rainbow stripes, symbolising the unification of masculine and feminine identities.
The term 'Two-Spirit' was adopted by consensus at a 1990 Indigenous gathering to replace outdated anthropological terminology. It describes a specific ceremonial and social role confirmed by Elders, not simply being Indigenous and LGBTQ+.
Adopted: 2016
