Uzbekistan's flag has three horizontal stripes of blue, white, and green, separated by thin red fimbriations. A white crescent and twelve stars appear on the blue stripe. Blue represents water and the sky, white stands for peace, green symbolizes nature and new life, red represents the life force, and the twelve stars represent the months and the zodiac.
The twelve stars on Uzbekistan's flag are arranged in three rows (3-4-5), and they represent the twelve months of the year as well as the twelve constellations of the zodiac.
