Created by JJ Poole in 2012, this flag's five stripes represent femininity (pink), all genders (white), both masculinity and femininity (purple), lack of gender (black), and masculinity (blue). It was designed to fill a visibility gap for people whose gender identity shifts over time.
JJ Poole is an agender pansexual advocate from New York state who created the flag because no existing design adequately represented the experience of gender fluidity.
