Shizuoka
prefecturesgeographicorangewhite
The flag of Shizuoka features a white mon emblem on an orange field. The emblem is a stylised rendering of the prefecture's geography, with a rounded shape suggesting Mount Fuji and Suruga Bay. The orange field is one of the most distinctive background colours among Japanese prefectural flags, representing the prefecture's famous mandarin oranges and warm Pacific coast climate.
Shizuoka produces more green tea than any other prefecture in Japan and offers the classic Pacific-side views of Mount Fuji.
