The flag of Monaco is a simple horizontal bicolour of red and white. The colors are derived from the heraldic colors of the Grimaldi family, who have ruled Monaco since the 13th century. The flag is identical to the Indonesian flag except for its proportions, with Monaco's being 4:5 and Indonesia's being 2:3.
Monaco's flag is almost identical to Indonesia's flag; the only difference is the ratio of height to width.
