Perak

The flag of Perak is a triband of three horizontal stripes: white, yellow, and black. White represents the Sultan, yellow symbolises the Raja Muda (crown prince), and black represents the people. These three colours together represent the unity between the monarch, heir, and citizens. Perak was historically one of the wealthiest Malay states due to its abundant tin deposits, and its name means 'silver' in Malay, referencing the shimmering colour of tin in riverbeds.

Perak was the site of the Perak War (1875–76), one of the first major conflicts between British colonial forces and Malay rulers, triggered by British interference in local affairs.
