The flag of Andalusia consists of three horizontal stripes: green, white, and green. The green represents hope and the union of the people, while the white symbolizes peace and dialogue. It was designed by Blas Infante, considered the father of Andalusian nationalism, and is inspired by the colors used by the Umayyad dynasty and the Almohad Caliphate in the region.
Blas Infante chose the green and white colors based on the flag of the medieval Andalusian Umayyad dynasty, linking the region to its Moorish heritage.
