The CARICOM flag features a light blue upper half representing the sky and a dark blue lower half representing the Caribbean Sea. A yellow circle in the centre depicts the sun, with the letters CC intertwined in green, standing for the Caribbean Community. The design captures the tropical maritime character of the region.
CARICOM's headquarters is in Georgetown, Guyana, the only mainland South American member of the predominantly island-based Caribbean Community.
Adopted: 1983
