Middlesex

The Middlesex flag features three Saxon seaxes on a red field, identical in style to the Essex flag. The seaxes represent the county's Saxon heritage, as Middlesex means 'territory of the Middle Saxons', positioned between the East and West Saxons.
Though Middlesex was formally abolished in 1965 when most of it was absorbed into Greater London, the county cricket club and many institutions still proudly use the name.
Adopted: 2014
