The flag of Liechtenstein is a horizontal bicolour of blue and red with a gold crown in the upper left corner. The blue represents the sky, the red symbolizes the evening fires in hearths, and the crown was added in 1937 after it was discovered at the 1936 Olympics that Liechtenstein's flag was identical to Haiti's.
Liechtenstein added the crown to its flag after discovering its flag was identical to Haiti's during the 1936 Berlin Olympics.
